In the past there has been some confusion about whether the money paid to NACCA constitutes a “conference fee” or “membership dues”.  The NACCA Board wishes to clarify that the annual amount of money paid to NACCA constitutes “membership dues”.  In other words, a person who pays the annual dues amount is considered a NACCA member in good standing.  Attending regional trainings for free is considered one of the benefits of being an active member.   When membership dues are paid to NACCA the dues are tied to a specific employee and cannot be transferred from person to person.  Each person who attends NACCA trainings must be a member in good standing.

Below please find the Docket, providing information for renewing your membership and registering for regional training, Schedules for both the Northern and Southern Regional Trainings, and hotel information for the Silver Legacy Resort Casino where NACCA has received special room rates for the Northern Regional Training should you need to reserve a room.

Northern Nevada is the location for the next Institute for Court Management (ICM) course Accountability & Court Performance in September. The National Center for State Courts is now taking registrations. The course, scheduled for Sept. 11 – 13, 2018, meets the requirement for Level 1 of the Certified Court Manager Program.

The cost of the course is $695 if you register before July 13, 2018. After July 13, the cost increases to $745. Participants can access the Early Bird Discount at https://courses.ncsc.org/node/183.

The Accountability & Court Performance course provides court managers a set of tools to examine court performance, implement improvements, and achieve performance goals. In addition, the course shows court leaders and managers how to collect, understand, and use data to direct decision-making. The course places an emphasis on helping court managers communicate on how using court data improves court performance.

Sparks Justice Court will host the course in its conference room. Participants are responsible for making their own lodging and travel arrangements. The Fairfield Inn and Suites and the Nugget Casino are located near the court.

We encourage everyone to take the survey about bringing ICM courses to Nevada.  You will need to copy and paste the link in your browser in order to access the survey.    http://www.esurveyspro.com/s/394020/NCSC_CMP_Survey
